Well I have been wanting to use my Garden Whimsy set and finally tried it out last night. I just love the butterflies and the little ladybugs in the set. I finally ordered the whimsy wheel this morning so I am anxious for that to come in. For the first card I used basic black, pretty in pink
and whisper white along with the cooridinating black and pink inks. I used the swirly stamp from Pricelss to use as a background stamp and added dazzling diamonds glitter to the butterfly and the swirls by the saying. You cant really see it in the picture, but its very shimmery in person.

The next card again uses Garden Whimsy. I used real red and basic black cardstock and inks. I used the 1inch circle punch for the ladybug, 1 1/4 circle punchfor the black circle and the scallop punch. I stamped the phrase "the time to be happy is now" around the scallop and finished it off with black grosgrain ribbon. Now hopefully tonight I will get a couple scrapbook pages done. I havent scrapbooked in ages it seems. We'll see though...

3x3 Notes...

So Ive recently decided that I really really love the 3x3 note card look. It is so simple and so cute because its sooo small. So I decided to make a couple using the pun fun set the other night. Well

actually it was like a week or two ago, but Im not very good at keeping up with this thing.

So for this one I just simply used to the Basic Black and Whisper White card stock and basic black ink. To color in the skunk I used the Stampin pastels.

For the hippo card I used blush blossom and pale plum cardstock. I used the background basics stamp for the background on the purple and stamped it with pale plum ink. I stamped the hippo in black and colored it in using going gray and pale plum ink with a blender pen.

I made another one using Nursery Necessities and Background Basics. I used perfect plum, pale plum, blush blossom, barely banana, and whisper white cardstock on this one. To make the stars, I used pale plum, pretty in pink, and barely banana stapmed on whisper white then cut them out. I used stampin dimensionals to add some dimension to the card, not that you can tell in that picture.

Happy Bird-day!

I know, I know, the lighting sucks! This is a birthday card I made for a friend of mines little girl. I got the idea from SCS and thought it was cute. I used my Pun Fun set, its sooo cute! I love it! Stampin' Up is also running a promotion on this set. If you buy it between March 18th and April 30th you will get the jumbo wheel to match it for free!! Check out the free wheelin link to see what other sets they are offering that promotion on. I think the pun fun set is my favorite set so far. It is just adorable!

Sooo....

So I got my stuff about 2 weeks ago. I was soo excited! I love my new sets, they are great! So of course I had to try them out. I started with a couple of Easter cards using "A Good Egg".

The card on the left is the first card I made. The quality of the picture kind of sucks, but I was having issues with the lighting htat day. I used barely banana, pretty in pink, apricot appeal and whisper white for this card. I have been loving the pink and yellow together. They are sooo springy! For the inks, I used pale plum, pretty in pink, and bashful blue.
This is the second card Imade using A Good Egg. I again used the barely banana and pretty in pink paper and as well as the pretty in pink ink. To make the chicks, I stmaped them on whisper white and used the stampin pastels to color them in. I used the corner rounder punch to make the scalloped edges on the side of the card.
