6x6 scrap page

I am determined to like making 6x6 scrapbook pages so this is my second attempt. I must say that I do really like this page. I am going to make it a two page spread but havent gotten to it yet. I made this one last night so hopefully tonight I will get to the second page. My goal really is to do a whole book, but thats a little optimistic for me so we'll see. Anyways, this is a picture of my son Wesly when he was 4months old. I used bashful blue for the background and stamped stars from Nursery Necessities on it using bashful blue ink and versamark. I scalloped the edge of a piece of chocolate chip paper and then cut some tangerine stips. I used Kiwi Kiss for the matter behind the picture. I used markers to color in the boat and cut it out. Then I glued it all together and VOILA! it was done. It was a very quick page to make once I figured out what I wanted to do. Thats always the hardest part lol. I hope you enjoyed my page. Hopefully I will post the other one tomorrow.

Pictures from my workshop

So I told you I would post pictures from my workshop the other night so here they are. I do have very terrible lighting around here and didnt feel like adjusting it. So I hope these will do. These are the little thank you bags I gave to everyone that came. They were very simple to make and make awesome gifts. You could decorate them for any season or occassion you need. Its just a cellophane bag with the top note topper. I used the scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 circle and 1 1/4 circles punches. Find a stamp and some peppermint patties and your all set! The girls loved them!

This is what we made. They each made a box with 2 3x3 cards. They got to choose which colors they wanted for their box and which stamps and everything so they could make it their own. I kept the cards basic because some of them had never stamped before and i didnt want to overwhelm them or anything. I think it worked out good. They all had fun and liked the projects. So there ya have it... Guess I oughta get back to reality and be a mom now. Have a great day!

Number 12

So every month my upline gives us a challenge to post to our blog 12 times that month. Doesnt seem like a lot does it? Well let me tell you it can be pretty tricky. Today is the 31st and its 10:25est and I am just now getting to it. I planned on posting the projects we did at my oh so wonderful workshop tonight but of course I put in my memory card and my computer doesnt want to work. So you arent getting any pictures tonight. So I will just tell you what we made and you can use your imagination until I get my stupid computer to work right. SO we made a box to hold 3x3 notecards. For they base they used either chocolate chip or Not quite navy. The top for the box they used either kiwi kiss or baja breeze. We used the scallop edge punch on the top so all the way around had scallops (if that makes sense). Then we decorated using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp. We also made two 3x3 cards to go inside. We again used the pocket silhouettes stamp. I dont know what I would have done if I never bought that stamp. I didnt even like it to begin with but my friend Andrea loved it so I thought maybe I should give it a shot and let me tell you.... I use it for EVERYTHING! Each of the ladies got a little thank you bag with a top note topper and some peppermint patty sandwhiches inside. They Loved them. Again, I will post that picture later. We had so much fun, they are sucha great group of ladies. Ok well thats all for tonight. I am Exhausted! Hope you have a fabulous Super Bowl Sunday! My new adventure...

Of course in my spare time I love to stamp and papercraft, but I also love to take pictures. I have been wanting to go to hallmark for a few years now but since I already went to a 4yr college and have to pay my loans back I just cant afford to pay tuition there as well. So in the mean time, I have decided to try and make a little extra money on the side and begin taking pictures for people. I have my first wedding the first weekend in August and I have booked another one for the following weekend. Boy am I excited. I created a website to kind of pose as an online portfolio of pictures I have done. If you could check it out and let me know what you think I would appreciate it. click here to check it out. Oh what a day...

So im sure you have heard that New England was in for a big storm today. Well we didnt get quite as much as they had originally predicted but we did get plenty. I found it amusing when i looked out my window and saw this... a truck plowing the side walk... the picture is a bit blurry as it was taken out of my dirty window, but you get the picture. I have never seen that before.. well not in a town anyways. They used to do it when I was in college but the sidewalks were really wide. Ok anyways... even though I think im getting sick, I have a terrible soar throat (going on 3days), im exhausted and cold and have both boys cause school was cancelled... i managed to stamp today. I did some stuff for my upcoming workshop and then I decided I wanted to make a card. I got inspiration from my uplines card here. She is so talented and a wonderful upline. I like her card much better (in the end I dont really care for the colors I chose) so here it is.... I love how my flowers came out. I used the birds and blooms die for the bigshot to make it. I used the top note of course for the center of the card. Then I just used my priceless stamp set (which I absolutely love and never use) along with some chocolate chip taffeta ribbon. I used to scallop edge punch (well worth 15.95) on the chocolate chip and thats kind of it. My colors were baja breeze, so saffron, chocolate chip, and pink pirouette. well thats all for today.
